1. Wooden Legacy (Kansas, UCLA, Georgetown, Virginia), November 26-27

The Wooden Legacy could be two of the most important days of the year for the Kansas Jayhawks. The four-team field is made up of UCLA, Georgetown, Virginia, and of course Kansas. Even though the matchups haven’t been announced yet, there’s a good chance that the Jayhawks and Cavaliers will be on opposite sides of the bracket.

If Kansas really wanted to maximize their chances of getting resume-boosting wins, it’d be best if they played UCLA in the semifinal. The Bruins are projected to be a contender for the Pac-12 title, while Georgetown will probably be a mediocre team.

Of course, the anticipated tournament championship game is between Kansas and Virginia. The Cavs are No. 4 in ESPN‘s way-too-early top 25, so a win over Virginia would probably be huge for Kansas in a way similar to their win over Dayton in last year’s Maui Invitational.

Ultimately, the Wooden Legacy provides two great chances for Kansas to pick up quality wins, one of which (Virginia) could be one of the most important of the entire season for the Jayhawks.

Kansas will have a lot of really great opportunities next season to pick up quality wins during their non-conference schedule as the Jayhawks look to claim a No. 1 seed in March.
