Guard: Devonte’ Graham (2014–2018)

There may not be more of a Kansas basketball fan-favorite than Devonte’ Graham, and it’s for good reason. Graham was tremendous during his four years with the Jayhawks, and his accolades prove it without a doubt:

  • Four-time Big 12 champion
  • 2018 Consensus first-team All-American
  • 2018 Big 12 Player of the Year
  • One-time First-team All-Big 12
  • One-time Second-team All-Big 12

In his incredible senior season, Graham was averaging 17.3 points, 7.2 assists, and 1.6 steals per game. He helped lead the Jayhawks to a thrilling win over Duke in the Elite Eight and a berth in the Final Four. It was Self’s third career Final Four, and the first one Kansas had been to since 2012. The Jayhawks were outmatched by Villanova in the semifinal, yet it was still a great season.

Graham was selected early in the second round of the 2018 NBA Draft, and his professional career is starting to take off. Before the season was suspended due to COVID-19, Graham was the frontrunner for the Most Improved Player Award, averaging 18.2 points and 7.5 assists per game with the Hornets.

Similar to Robinson and the next player, it’s only a matter of time until Graham’s number is in the rafters at Allen Fieldhouse.
