CBS Sports Network will be replaying a host of games tomorrow, including Kansas basketball’s 1988 national title win over Oklahoma. Here’s how to watch.

No live sports, no problem. CBS Sports Network has been playing quite a few reruns of classic games, and Kansas basketball will be on twice tomorrow.

The 1988 national title game featuring Kansas basketball and Oklahoma will be on at 4:00 p.m. and the 2003 national title game featuring Kansas and Syracuse will be on at 6:00 p.m. (both times are Central). Keep in mind that these games are on CBS Sports Network, not  the regular CBS channel.

The Kansas-Oklahoma title game is still the most recent national championship to feature two teams from the same conference, which is impressive given that most major basketball teams have consolidated into six conferences.

Rewatching Danny Manning carry the Jayhawks to the title never gets old. Manning dropped 31 points, grabbed 18 rebounds, and totaled five steals en route to winning the Final Four Most Outstanding Player award.

Here are a few other things to keep an eye on while watching the ’88 title game.

Milt Newton’s hot hand

Milt Newton attempted six field goals against the Sooners and he nailed all of them. He’d end up with 15 points; however, Newton’s perfect game is often overshadowed by Manning’s dominance.

Dave Sieger’s three-pointers

Oklahoma’s Dave Sieger attempted 15 field goals and made seven with all seven being three-pointers. Sieger finished with 22 points and not a single two-point field goal.

Bench play from both teams

Billy Tubbs’ Sooners only played one bench player the entire game, and he didn’t score with all 79 of Oklahoma’s points coming from the starters. On the other hand, Larry Brown’s Jayhawks had nearly 50 minutes of bench-play.

QUARANTINE FUN. Three games KU fans should watch. light

There’s likely a large number of new Jayhawk fans that may not have seen the title game, and this is an excellent opportunity to watch and record it if you have that capability. Rewatching Kansas basketball win a national title is always fun, and you never know when you may want to relive the madness again.
