Kansas basketball will face off against the Texas Tech Red Raiders on Saturday. Here’s what you need to know, including the time, odds, TV channel, and preview.

Having claimed at least a share of the 2020 Big 12 championship, Kansas basketball has a chance to win it outright on Saturday afternoon against the Texas Tech Red Raiders. The Jayhawks could also win the title outright if Baylor drops their game on Saturday against West Virginia.

Despite getting the win over TCU on Senior Night to claim at least a share of the championship, the Jayhawks looked fatigued at times. Every team in the nation is banged up at this point, but it’ll be interesting to see how the Jayhawks look on the road against a team like Texas Tech without much rest.

Here’s Kansas basketball vs. Texas Tech at a glance:

  • Time: 1:00 p.m. (CT)
  • Place: United Supermarkets Arena – Lubbock, TX
  • Watch: ESPN
  • Listen: FM- KKSW 105.9, or AM- KLWN 1320 (Lawrence Stations)
  • Series (since 1950): KU leads 36-6
  • Last Meeting: 2020, 78-75 KU
  • Odds: (Courtesy of The Action Network)

Texas Tech has lost their last three games, with the most recent loss in overtime to Baylor on the road, but they won’t be an easy out. When the Jayhawks and Red Raiders faced off in Lawrence earlier this season, Kansas only scraped by with a slim three-point victory.

Going on the road to face Texas Tech is definitely going to be tough, especially given that the Red Raiders have had a lot of rest and time to prepare and the Jayhawks haven’t. With the Big 12 title secured and a fatigued roster, don’t be surprised if the Jayhawks struggle on the road.

Not only that, but Texas Tech has a lot to play for. They need a big win to help bolster their resume and they could accomplish that with a win over the Jayhawks.
