Kansas football: Two Jayhawks will attend 2020 NFL Combine
Kansas football alums Azur Kamara and Hakeem Adeniji will be representing the Jayhawks at the 2020 NFL Combine.
Two Kansas football seniors will be competing in the NFL Combine starting on Sunday, February 23: Azur Kamara, and Hakeem Adeniji. The two Jayhawks both had standout careers at Kansas, and now they’ll get their shots to try and make it on NFL rosters.
Hakeem Adeniji was an underrecruited high school prospect when he signed with the Jayhawks. He’d go on to start in every game of his career at Kansas, becoming an All-Big 12 offensive tackle. According to the NFL, offensive linemen will begin workouts on February 28. Whether or not Adeniji gets drafted or not is up in the air, but he’ll probably get picked up in free agency at the very least.
Azur Kamara began his college career at Arizona Western Community College and finished it with Kansas football. Kamara immediately played in his first season as a Jayhawk, starting three games and playing in all of the rest. The talented linebacker will probably not be drafted; however, he could end up on a roster after the draft.
Another angle to consider for both players is the possibility of a career in the XFL.

The new pro football league finished up its first week to relatively positive reviews, and so far it has a bright future. The rule changes are fresh, plus the football itself wasn’t too bad either. There are already four Kansas football alums in the league, and there’s always room for two more if they don’t get interest from the NFL.
The NFL Combine is a great chance for Kamara and Adeniji to showcase their talents and try to make it in the NFL. Without a doubt though, these two both have bright futures ahead, whether it be in football or something else.
