Kansas basketball faces off against Texas Tech later this afternoon. Here’s what you need to know, including the game time, odds, TV channel, and more.

This is an important game for Kansas basketball. It could help determine the winner of the Big 12 this season, and we’ll see if tweaking the starting lineup really works today against the Red Raiders.

Head coach Bill Self stated that he’d stick with the four-guard lineup after last week’s win over Oklahoma State, despite the return of big man David McCormack for this game. That means Kansas basketball fans will get to see more of the freshman phenom Christian Braun.

Braun has averaged 14.3 points per game over the course of the Jayhawks’ past three contests. The Kansas native is fun to watch, and he could be one of many keys unlocking this team’s vast potential. Here’s what he had to say last week after getting his first start of his collegiate career against Oklahoma State:

Texas Tech may not be ranked or as good as they were last season, but they’re a well-coached team that’s coming off of a big win. The Red Raiders took down No. 12 West Virginia last Wednesday 89-81.

Davide Moretti led the way for Texas Tech, dropping a season-high 25 points on 60 percent shooting. Also, Terrence Shannon Jr. had 23 points, and Jahmi’us Ramsey scored 21. The offensive explosion snapped a two-game losing streak and moved the Red Raiders to 4-3 in conference play.

If Kansas is going to beat Texas Tech, they’re going to need their offense. West Virginia is one of the best defensive teams in the country, and Texas Tech dropped 89 on them. Either Devon Dotson or Udoka Azubuike will need to take over the game, and the Jayhawks will need consistent shooting from range.

The majority of the three-point barrage will likely come from Isaiah Moss, Ochai Agbaji, and Christian Braun. The Jayhawks need the three-ball to fall.

This is a significant conference test for the Jayhawks. The Red Raiders are certainly bound for the NCAA Tournament, and they’re hot right now. It’ll take a full team effort to pick up the victory later today.
