Kansas basketball vs. Texas Tech: Three keys to victory
Third Key: Taking advantage of time off
Kansas basketball will have a huge advantage over Texas Tech: time. Kansas played Oklahoma State on Monday, and they have this whole week to prepare for the Red Raiders. On the other hand, Texas Tech will play a tough West Virginia team on Wednesday, and then turn around and play the Jayhawks on the road this Saturday.
Bill Self will have basically the entire week to prepare for the Red Raiders, and if there’s one thing history has taught us, it’s that Bill Self with time to prepare greatly increases the chance of a Kansas win. Not only that, but West Virginia is one of the toughest teams to play in the nation.
The No. 12 Mountaineers currently have the best defense in the country according to KenPom, and their offense is solid too.
With a quick turnaround and a tough opponent, Texas Tech could be at a noticeable disadvantage to Kansas.
The game is set to begin this Saturday at 1:00 PM (CT) in Allen Fieldhouse, and be broadcast on ESPN. This is an important conference game for both teams, as winning would help the Jayhawks keep pace with Baylor, and Texas Tech could get back on the right track.
