Kansas basketball will face off against in-state rival Kansas State in a Big 12 battle tonight. Here’s what to know, including game time, odds, channel, radio, and more.

Kansas basketball’s game against Kansas State tonight won’t be a gimme just because the Wildcats’ record in conference play is 1-4. The Wildcats are coming off of an impressive win against a ranked West Virginia squad, by far their most notable victory of the year.

That being said, Kansas has to stay focused.

Dropping another home Big 12 game, especially to Kansas State, would be a major disaster. While the Wildcats are hot, they just aren’t great this year due to a lack of talent. Here’s Kansas basketball vs. Kansas State at a glance:

The key for Kansas basketball will be to stay focused and not play down to their opponent’s level. Busting Brackets ranked the Wildcats ninth in the conference in their most recent Big 12 Power Rankings, and the fact of the matter is that Kansas should have no problem handling Kansas State.

Xavier Sneed and Cartier Diarra are the only two players on the Wildcats’ roster averaging over seven points a game and at least 30 minutes per game. If Kansas can limit their impact, Kansas State will be in trouble on the offensive end.

On the defensive end, Kansas State is solid like every other team in the Big 12 this season. KenPom rates the Wildcat defense at no. 51 in the country analytically, but the Jayhawks have played and beaten far better defensive teams such as West Virginia, and Texas.
