Kansas football: Top four returning Jayhawks in 2020
Kansas football is returning quite a bit of talent from the 2019 season. Here are the top four Jayhawks that are coming back for the 2020 campaign.
As Les Miles and Kansas football prepare for the 2020 season, a few questions still linger from the 2019 season. The most notable being who will replace Carter Stanley as the Jayhawks’ starting quarterback? There’s been quite a bit of speculation and evidence that Florida Gators transfer Feleipe Franks would be coming to Kansas, but nothing has materialized, yet.
If Franks decides to take his talents elsewhere, like Mississippi State for example, the Jayhawks still have a few quarterbacks on the roster to step into the starting role, but none of them have proven anything yet at the collegiate level.
Unlike the quarterbacks on Les Miles’ roster, these four players have all proved that they can play, and their 2020 seasons should be tremendous. Kansas football needs it too. If Les Miles only manages another three-win season or worse, the grumbling will begin almost immediately following the Jayhawks’ final game.
The fan base isn’t even asking for much, just a four or four-win season would be the best Kansas football has done in over 10 years. It really shouldn’t be that big of a feat, but it is.
Despite questions from the 2019 season like the quarterback situation and the loss of 25 seniors, these guys should be good to go and key contributors during the 2020 season. Here are the top four returning Jayhawks for the 2020 Kansas football season.
