The Ugly

Kansas basketball fans expect the best when it comes to their team, and most of the time, they get it. The Jayhawks had a great decade during the 2010s, and the bar is even higher in the 2020s.

When it comes to the quality of ESPN+ streaming, it can be less than the best at times.

The Kansas vs. UMKC matchup stands out in particular. The game was marred by multiple instances of red screens and audio problems, creating a terrible product. Kansas basketball fans were frustrated and they had the right to be.

More recently, the Jayhawk faithful have been complaining about the commentating. Now normally, there’s no reason to put a lot of stock into when a fanbase complains about commentating, but in this case, it’s warranted.

The commentating crew certainly hasn’t been ESPN’s A-team, and Jayhawk Nation was quick to notice on all forms of social media.
