The Bad

One of the chief complaints from Kansas basketball fans revolves around the $5.00 per month price that ESPN+ charges. Some fans believe they shouldn’t have to pay that extra fee on top of a cable bill, and that the service is just another way for the school to make money.

Another complaint comes from the older community of Kansas basketball fans, and it’s a warranted one.

Lots of Jayhawk faithful don’t have the tech skill when it comes to streaming on the internet, which is a problem. The main counter-argument to this claim is that streaming is the future, and it’s time to catch up for those that refuse to change.

The problem is that not everyone has the ability or technological expertise when it comes to the change, so those that are in the senior crowd could easily be excluded.

Finally, the fact that certain games that do deserve to be on a national network end up on ESPN+ is annoying, to say the least. For example, Kansas’ game against #16 West Virginia should have been nationally televised and not relegated to ESPN+.
