As we enter a new year and decade, it’s a great time to set goals and targets for the purpose of self-improvement. Here are three New Year’s resolutions for the Kansas Jayhawks in 2020.

Happy New Year Kansas Jayhawks fans! 2019 was a good year for Kansas athletics, and here’s to hoping that 2020 is even better.

The 2019 year will be hard to top though, the Jayhawks won Big 12 titles in women’s soccer and women’s tennis. Kansas also entered their first season with head coach Les Miles leading the football program.

Basketball, on the other hand, wasn’t the best by Kansas standards.

The Jayhawks suffered a second-round exit and finished the year with a 26-10 record. Kansas also failed to win a Big 12 regular-season title for the first time since the 2004 season. It could easily be considered one of Bill Self’s worse seasons in his time with Kansas, but things are already looking up this season.

So after a fairly successful 2019, what would constitute a successful 2020 year for the Kansas Jayhawks? If the Jayhawks can obtain two out of three of these resolutions, 2020 should certainly be a good year for Kansas.
