High: Kansas football vs. Boston College

The aforementioned Coastal Carolina game had many Kansas football fans anticipating a one-win season, it was that bad. That’s why the following week was such a shock to everybody.

After going down 17-7 to the Eagles at the end of the first quarter, something incredible happened, and the Jayhawks flipped the switch.

Kansas went into halftime with all the momentum and a 28-24 lead. The Jayhawks continued to dominate in the second half by scoring 20 more points and not allowing Boston College to score.

Kansas football would end up winning 48-24 in a program defining win. It was the first time the Jayhawks had beat a power-five conference team on the road in a decade, not to mention Kansas was a 21+ point underdog.

The win pushed the Jayhawks to 2-1 on the season, and it restored the hope Kansas football fans had in the program. Now Kansas would be going into Big 12 play with ambition and some hope, something that had been lacking in previous years under former regimes.
