Kansas Heads-Up

Kansas is coming into this game after dropping their Big 12 opener last week at home to West Virginia in a close 24-29 contest. The Jayhawks have been improving; however, that improvement may not be enough this week.

Stopping running back Darius Anderson will be a chore for Kansas, as Anderson has been running all over teams this year. Last week, he picked up over 150 yards on the ground in addition to two touchdowns.

Jayhawks quarterback Carter Stanley will have to really step up this week. The Horned Frogs have a good run defense, so Kansas may have to rely on throwing the ball a little more than usual. As long as Stanley can get the ball to star wide receiver Andrew Parchment, the Jayhawks will have a shot on the road.

TCU Heads-Up

Last week, TCU got beat by SMU 41-38 at home. The Horned Frogs will look to rebound this week as they begin Big 12 play against Kansas.

Quarterback Max Duggan hasn’t been very impressive thus far, as he has the worst passing efficiency rating in the Big 12; however, he also hasn’t thrown an interception this season. It wouldn’t be surprising if TCU swapped Duggan at some point during the game though.

TCU is an extremely run-oriented team, so if Kansas can take away the run and force the Frogs to put the ball in the air, it could be the difference in the game.
