It’s been a rough few days for Kansas basketball, but there’s light at the end of the tunnel. Late Night in the Phog is this Friday at 6:30 and it’s looking like it might be one for the books.

If there’s one thing the Kansas basketball program needs right now, it’s some positivity. Well, Jayhawks fans have less than a week until Late Night in the Phog 2019 goes down in Allen fieldhouse.

The day is full of activities, the first of which begins at 11 AM on the front lawn of Allen Fieldhouse. The activities are scheduled to last until 4 PM.

Two hours before the scheduled start at 4:30 PM, the student gate will open. Unlike previous years, students will camp for Late Night in a similar manner to normal games, which should be much safer for everyone. 30 minutes after the student gates open, the general admission gates will open at 5:00 PM.

If you can’t make it to the event, that’s no problem! The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with Brian Hanni and Greg Gurley commentating. You can also catch Late Night on KMCI “38 The Spot”, Midco Sports Network, Spectrum Sports, and Cox.

Late Night in the Phog will also feature all its usual activities including scrimmages from the men’s and women’s basketball teams, skits from players and coaches, and of course Snoop Dogg.

Yesterday afternoon, the official Kansas basketball twitter posted the announcement of Snoop including possibly the greatest video of all time featuring Bill Self:

After serious allegations regarding Kansas basketball and Bill Self’s relationship with Adidas, Coach Self is seen in the video wearing an Adidas shirt with two chains, featuring a dollar sign. That’s certainly one way to make a statement, whatever that statement is.

The performance of Snoop Dogg is arguably the biggest in the history of Late Night. Others that have performed recently include rappers Lil Yachty and 2 Chainz.

Also. Udoka Azubuike can lead Kansas basketball to a Big 12 title this season. light

Despite the NCAA allegations, the event should still be a blast this year. From watching a national championship-caliber team scrimmage and funny skits to seeing one of the best-selling rappers of all time, this may be one of the most memorable renditions of Late Night in the Phog.
