Kansas football made huge plays in their 48-point win over Boston College on the road. The Jayhawks were sharp, so here are the top five players from last night’s win.

What a huge win on the road for this team. The Jayhawks may have finally found an identity on offense, and the defense made adjustments throughout the game to give themselves a chance to win. It was a great showing that restored some faith in Kansas football.

So let’s breakdown who the top performers were in Kansas’ biggest road win in years.

Dru Prox has been a huge part of the Kansas defense all season, and last night was no exception. Prox led the team with 10 total tackles with six of them being solo. He terrorized the Boston College offense that failed to score any points in the second half; talk about impressive half-time adjustments. Prox has averaged 10 tackles a game and is on pace for well over 100 by the end of the season.

Pooka Magic is back and picking up right where it left off. Williams rushed for 121 yards on 22 carries. He also found the endzone for the first time this season on a 12-yard touchdown run. Pooka is an amazing player that’s a threat at all times on the field, and he opens up things for other players. Using Williams as a decoy is a brilliant idea, it keeps teams honest and forces defenses to make a choice on who they’re going to key on.

Khalil Herbert had a career game last night. He attempted 11 rushes for 187 yards, that’s a 17- yard average. Herbert also found the endzone on a six-yard run. Herbert is in his final year of college football, and it looks like he wants to leave everything hes got on the field. He was unstoppable this game, cutting like a hot knife through butter on the Boston College defense. The dynamic duo of Herbert and Williams could possibly be the nest runningback pair in the Big 12.

After a quiet week two-game, Parchment came into week three with a vengeance. He racked up exactly 100-yards receiving on eight receptions, including two touchdowns. Parchment was prolific in weeks one and three, and it’s imperative that he and the rest of the WRs continue to get touches. They’re too athletic not to be utilized, and they open up the run game for Williams and Herbert.

Could it be anyone else at number one? Carter Stanley has made massive strides and his improvement is crucial to Kansas football. Stanley threw for 238 yards on 20/27 passing. He also tossed three touchdowns and only one interception. Especially in the first half, Stanley looked extremely sharp. If he can replicate the high-level he displayed against Boston College, the Jayhawks should be able to handle West Virginia at home next week.
