Baylor at Home

Kansas will play Baylor at home in the regular-season finale on November 30.  The game will be played right in the middle of Thanksgiving break, meaning students wouldn’t normally show up for the game. However, If Kansas is sitting at five wins and a shot at a bowl game, it’s likely that many students would make the trip, however far, to support the Jayhawks.

Baylor blew out both teams they played in weeks one and two and will face Rice in week three. The Bears are projected to be a mediocre team in the Big 12, probably getting around six or seven wins.

Being it that Kansas and Baylor will play each other in the last game of the season, the Bears may not play inspired football if they’re already bowl eligible. Adding one more win won’t be a huge deal for Baylor since they likely won’t be ranked or in contention for a Big 12 title. The key for Kansas is to come out swinging and show Baylor that this game isn’t worth the effort.

And there you have it. The steps Kansas football can take and the teams they have to beat if they want to make a bowl game in Les Miles’ first season as the head coach. It won’t be easy, and it sure isn’t likely, but hey, anything is possible. Plus when your team is as bad as Kansas, you have to dream a little.
