The clock is ticking toward the tipoff of Saturday’s Final Four battle in San Antonio. Kansas basketball fans have big decisions to make.

Kansas basketball fans anxiously anticipate Saturday’s Final Four showdown at the Alamodome. Bill Self and the Big 12 Champion Jayhawks arrived in San Antonio to bands, fans and quite an impressive welcome from NCAA organizers. Players are featured on large murals at their hotel and adjacent to their locker rooms. Mandatory interviews and television responsibilities have left little time for basketball.

Fans are also doing their pregame prep. Some follow a routine in advance of big games or every game. Many have that special shirt or outfit they wear. As a matter of fact, you probably haven’t washed that special shirt since the Big 12 Tournament championship game.

There are more decisions than which lucky shirt to wear, what to eat and where to watch. Jayhawk fans now have a to choose between Final Four broadcasts. In order to show all the March Madness games, CBS uses  five different channels. They used three channels during the Sweet 16 weekend. On Saturday, the network will use two.

Something fun and different this year.

CBS is using Turner Broadcasting System (TBS) for the traditional coverage of the Final Four. Tired of hearing the former Blue Devil talk between Jim Nantz and Bill Raftery? I am.  If fans want a more Jayhawk specific broadcast, you need to tune into Turner’s TNT channel. The “TeamCast” coverage. It features former Kansas basketball great Scot Pollard. He will provide analysis alongside Play by Play man Dave Armstrong.

While Pollard is always entertaining, the star of this “TeamCast” is Rob Riggle. The KU alum is becoming one of the most recognizable faces on television. He also has roles in several new movies. Riggle’s work on the Fox NFL pregame show is wild and crazy and will make it worth tuning in to this Jayhawk “TeamCast.”
