Kansas basketball will face an angry group of Frogs Tuesday night. Here are a few things to know when the Jayhawks host TCU.

Exactly 4 weeks ago, Bill Self and the Kansas basketball team knew they desperately needed to go to Fort Worth and steal a road. At that time, the Jayhawks had just lost at Allen Fieldhouse to a very good Texas Tech team. As a matter of fact, the Jayhawks are coming of another home loss to Oklahoma State. The team needs to turn things around beat TCU.

Since the Jayhawks 4-point win in early January, the Frogs have had a difficult time. They’ve lost 5 of 8 games including a decisive 83-71 setback to the Red Raiders on Saturday. They also lost their star, sophomore point guard Jaylen Fisher to a knee injury.

TCU has struggled but is very capable. The Frogs average 85-points a game and are one of the best shooting teams in the country. This purple team leads the Big 12, shooting just over 50 percent from the field. Their top two scorers are seniors.

Kenrich Williams and Vladimir Brodziansky would like nothing more than getting a win in their final trip to Allen Fieldhouse.  Both are averaging double digit scoring and Williams also hustles his way to an average of 9 rebounds a game. The 6-foot-11 Brodziansky is also effective protecting the rim.

Here is where to watch the Jayhawks play the Frogs Tuesday.

Keys to Victory

Next: Jayhawks can still accomplish their goal

Coach Bill Self is going to start two big men against TCU. Mitch Lightfoot and Udoka Azubuike will begin the contest. Lightfoot had a big game against the Frogs in Fort Worth. He scored 9-points and blocked 6 shots. The Jayhawks need Lagerald Vick to bring energy off the bench to help them attack the basket Tuesday night.

On the other hand, they need Vick to help them play better defense than we saw against Oklahoma State. TCU gave up 17 turnovers Saturday. There is no reason why the Jayhawks can’t use their defense to create some offense and send the Frogs home with another loss.
