Kansas basketball: Oklahoma State preview, how to watch
By Stan Unruh
Kansas Basketball will look for their third straight win when they tip off Saturday. Here are a few things to know when the Jayhawks host Oklahoma State.
The Kansas basketball team is set for another Big 12 conference contest Saturday with Oklahoma State. The (18-4) Jayhawks are playing some of the best basketball of the season. The Cowboys (13-9) are rather inconsistent due to injury, illness and the competition, as described by Nathan Ruiz for NewsOK. They are staring at a fourth straight loss unless they get rolling in Allen Fieldhouse. As a matter of fact, the Pokes have signature wins over Oklahoma and Florida State. They have not won a game since January 20 in their Bedlam battle with the Sooners in Stillwater.
In order for the Jayhawks to get their third straight win in the series they must continue to play good defense and force turnovers. The Cowboys have given up 16 or more turnovers in their past three games. They turned the ball over 20 times against Texas Tech. The Jayhawks need to use the defense to create offense.
We know red shirt senior Jeffery Carroll will get his points. He scored 27 points in the last meeting between the two teams. A year ago, in Lawrence the 6-foot-6 red shirt senior scored 23 and hustled to 7 rebounds. The Jayhawk defense must contain the others including 6-foot-7 sophomore Cameron McGriff and 6-foot-9 senior and Mitchell Solomon. McGriff is the most improved Cowboy over the past month averaging almost 10points and 6 rebounds a game.

Next: Jayhawks can not look past Oklahoma State
The Jayhawks may have a size advantage in the paint against the Cowboys. Solomon is experienced but Devonte Graham must drive the Jayhawk offense through Udoka Azubuike. I expect the senior leaders Graham and Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk to have big games back at the Fieldhouse. In addition, this might be a contest we see Silvio DeSousa make some progress. The freshman should match up well against the visitors from Stillwater.
