Joel Embiid is one of the most active NBA stars on social media.  More than anything, the former Jayhawk is loved in Kansas for his basketball and his personality.

The Philadelphia 76ers will face Miami Heat on October 13th and the future All-Star gets a chance to play in front of a Kansas crowd again. The exhibition game will give fans a chance to relive the dominance Joel Embiid brings on the court.

Most Jayhawk fans closely followed Embiid’s exploits last year. His stats looked all-star caliber and he almost ran away with Rookie of the Year award. In just over 25 minutes a game, he poured in a 20-point average. He also brought down 7.8 rebounds to go with an elite 2.5 blocks per game. His usage rate was 36.3 percent, highlighting his importance to the team.

Embiid was the focus of the team on the court and off the court as well. He has become synonymous with The Process and his positive outlook fueled the 76ers last season. He is already a leader on the young team featuring two other possible all-stars in Ben Simmons and Markelle Fultz.  As a matter of fact, if Jo Jo stays healthy this year, the 76ers should make the playoffs.

Getting to see Embiid in action again will be a treat hard to miss for Jayhawk fans. The Kansas City Star reported that the tickets go on sale today. Jojo is clearly excited to play at Kansas City and had this to say:

"It’s really exciting to play a preseason game in Kansas City, which is not far from where I played college basketball for the Jayhawks… I know that area has some great basketball fans and it will be fun to be back playing for the Sixers."

The fans know that it will be fun to just watch him play as well. Many fans not able to get into Allen Fieldhouse saw Embiid play at Sprint Center in December of 2013. That night, he scored 18 points in 25 minutes to help lead the Jayhawks in a win over New Mexico.
