Kansas football: Fun before the real work begins

The first team meetings are in the books for the Kansas football team. David Beaty, coaches and players spent some quality time together, according to social media.

On the final day of July, the Kansas football team did some quality bonding. There is a lot of work to do and they will do that as the month of August unfolds. Some teams spend several days in meetings and devote an extended time to bonding and team building activities. Many

Jayhawk football players spent the past few weeks on campus. It was good to see them kick off their official workouts and have some fun.

Over the next month, Beaty and his team will practice 6 days a week. In light of this fact, I was glad they had some fun Monday. It was also nice that Kansas football fans were allowed to see some of the fun via social media.


The fun started when the team traveled to the Lake for a little beach time. As a matter of fact, they had great weather, had the chance to try some water sports, did some good eating and took time to relax. The season grind is ahead of them. Except for the freshman, they all know the work ahead to improve on a 2-win season in the  tough Big 12 Conference.

It won’t be long before the Kansas football team is in the midst of their weekly game week prep leading up to the season opener on Saturday, September 2. David Beaty and his staff will make many decision over the next month. Kansas football fans are enthusiastic about this season. Considering the preseason honors, we can’t wait to see some positive results on the field.
