Brandon Randolph – PSA Cardinals – Nike EYBL

#48 Overall, #10 Shooting Guard

Randolph has had an up and down season so far. His name got hot right before the spring, then he followed that up with some middling performances. Then at Peach Jam, he elevated his play again in front of coaching staffs.

What’s his game like?

Randolph is a skinny, lengthy guard with a quick-release jumpshot. At 6’5″, he elevates well and is able get his shot off easily. While his shooting gets the headlines, he is a complete shooting guard from a skills standpoint. He can attack and create off the dribble, and is even capable of running the point in a pinch.

His slight frame is a bit of a worry, but that’s more of a long-term NBA potential thing. While he’s a very good long range shooter, his release isn’t the smoothest and it causes him to be streaky if he’s not set prior to shooting. He’ll probably struggle some defensively at the college level because of his lack of weight, but he does have the athleticism to make up for it.

Rumor Central

Kansas assistant Norm Roberts and head coach Bill Self both watched multiple times at Peach Jam, and he holds an offer from the Jayhawks. Right now, it appears Duke, Kentucky, UNC, and a few others are very involved too. The smart money is on UNC winning this one, and possibly somewhat soon.
