Top Five Transfers of the Bill Self Era

There you have it; those are the top transfers of the Self era. All of Self’s transfers have been role players, with the exception of Withey, who should probably be considered a super role player.

Newman will have higher expectations than any transfer that has ever come to Kansas under Self. It’s not very often that a former top 10 recruit who pulled out of the NBA Draft is looking to transfer.

It’s unclear if Newman will ever live up to the expectations that were placed on him coming out of high school, but he certainly has the potential to be one of the best transfers Self has ever had.
