Another national AAU weekend is in the books, and Through The Phog was on hand at the Nike EYBL to get a look at the top targets for the Kansas basketball staff.

We’re going to take a look at each the of the EYBL teams featuring a potential Kansas target, and give you one other player to watch for from that program.

As we have chronicled so far on our blog, Kansas is definitively after two feature prospects: Trae Young, a point guard from Norman, OK, and Deandre Ayton a 7’0″ center from the Bahamas. Any other offers by the staff can be taken with a small grain of salt right now, especially if those are offers to guys outside of the top 10-20 in the country. With top wing target Mike Porter, Jr. off the board since his father took a position on the Washington staff with Lorenzo Romar, Kansas will likely spend the upcoming open period in July re-evaluating the current crop of wings in 2017.

We will have a few of those potential wing targets listed in this article, but there are bound to be a handful of others that get strong considering from the Under Armour and Adidas circuits, who we hope to see later in the summer.

While seeing the prospects right now – during an NCAA “quiet” period – is great, we get a much better idea of who the real targets are once we can sit with the coaching staffs at events in July.
