Bill Self – Kansas

Let’s be real – the step down from Bill Self to nearly any other candidate would be immense. The best replacement is to simply pay him enough to stay at Kansas.

Right now, we don’t think he’s going anywhere and have heard that the rumors about him leaving are of specious origin. Sure, the NBA may make some calls and gauge his interest, but it’s hard to envision him leaving the job security he has in Lawrence.

Long term, Kansas needs to pay what it takes to keep him as there just aren’t a ton of great options waiting in the wings.
