Tier 3

Trevon Duval – Advanced Prep (TX) – We R1 (Under Armour Association)

Arguably the top overall guard in the 2017 class, Duval is highly sought after by the elite schools in the country. Kansas, Duke, Kentucky, Maryland – you name it, and they have likely offered. At this point, it’s unlikely Kansas can get Duval and only slightly more likely that they’ll end up making his future list cuts. There’s a long way to go with him, but we’ve heard that Maryland has an early edge, while Baylor, Arizona, and Villanova are all potential destinations.

Marcus Garrett – Skyline HS (TX) – Swaghouse Elite (Unaffiliated)

The big – 6’5 – and lanky point guard from Dallas is one for Kansas fans to really pay attention too. He had a very good high school season for Skyline HS and drew quite a bit of praise for his play with Swaghouse Elite so far this spring. Because Garrett is playing for a non-affiliated team, he won’t be featuring in any of the major circuits this summer (Adidas, Nike, or Under Armour). If things with Trae Young don’t work out for Kansas, we expect Marcus Garrett will jump well up the Kansas staff’s list.
