			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Kansas Jayhawks put together a full 40 minutes of action for the first time this season on Saturday. Kansas whipped Colorado, 90-54 in front of 16,300 fans at Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence.</p>
<p>With the win, Kansas improved to 7-1 on the year, while Colorado fell to 7-2. Kansas jumped on Colorado from the start, instantly grabbing a 10-1 advantage after Elijah Johnson drained a three-pointer. The score ballooned to 20-5 less then seven minutes into the game. After Kevin Young connected on a lay-in, Kansas held a 38-18 lead. At halftime, Kansas was ahead 43-22. The second half was only more of the same, as Kansas started the stanza on a 11-2 scoring spurt. The largest lead of the afternoon came after a Trevor Releford made shot, put Kansas up 76-34 at the 9:25 mark of the second half.</p>
<p>Ben McLemore led Kansas with 24 points, five rebounds, two steals and two assists. Young added 16 points, eight rebounds, two steals and two assists. Kansas for the game, shot 55% from the field, and 40% from behind the three-point line. Colorado&#8217;s leading scorer Spencer Dinwiddie was held to four points. After getting into early foul trouble, Dinwiddie had no chance to get going. Josh Scott led the Buffaloes with 19 points.</p>
<p>Next up for Kansas is a match-up with Belmont next Saturday. Colorado travels to play Fresno State on Wednesday.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>On Saturday at 1:00 p.m. central time in a game televised on ESPN 2, Colorado will travel to face Kansas. The Jayhawks enter the game with a 6-1 record, while Colorado is 7-1.</p>
<p>The Buffaloes lone loss came to Wyoming, on Dec. 1st. Colorado big win of the year, came vs Baylor. The Buffaloes knocked off the Bears, in a Charleston South semifinal, 60-58. Colorado is led by guard Spencer Dinwiddie who is averaging 18 points per game. Fellow guard Askia Booker contributes with nearly 15 points per contest. Up front, Colorado has a bruiser in forward Anthony Roberson, who is averaging nearly 12 boards per contest, and two blocked shots.</p>
<p>Kansas counters with a strong unit led by center Jeff Withey, and guard Elijah Johnson. Fellow guard Trevor Releford, and Johnson will have their hands full vs the talented duo Colorado possesses. Freshman forward Perry Ellis will continue to look to improve his play. The forward is averaging seven points per game and four rebounds.</p>
<p>The two teams have quite a storied history together with Kansas leading the series, 122-39. The Jayhawks lead the series in Lawrence, 61-7.</p>
