The Kansas Jayhawks secondary continues to grow as another 3-Star Defensive Back orally committed to KU Friday. Matthew Boateng, 6-0, 180 pound Corner from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, chose KU over the likes of Indiana, Marshall, Villanova, and Wake Forest.
Information from a report from kusports.com say that Boateng had the interest of Baylor, Florida State, Mississippi, and Toledo during his campus visit to KU in which the Jayhawks defeated West Virginia.
Boateng becomes the fourth defensive back of the KU recruiting process, a class that has reached a total of 14 recruits and could grow up to as much as 26.
“The way they use their cornerbacks matches my preferred style of play,” Boateng said. “I like that style which is press man, allowing me to get physical with the receiver.”
Boateng will be eligible to sign his letter of intent as of February 5th.
