Kansas Basketball: Andrew Wiggins Named Player of the Year

Incoming Kansas Jayhawks freshman guard Andrew Wiggins was named the preseason CBSSports.com player of the year late last week.

Also on the first team is freshman Julius Randle from Kentucky, Oklahoma State guard Marcus Smart, Louisville guard Russ Smith, and Creighton forward Doug McDermott.

Kansas begins their season with an exhibition game vs Pittsburg State on Oct. 29th. The team after facing Fort Hays State and Louisiana Monroe then take on Duke on Nov. 12th as part of the Champions Classic.
