Jayhawks in the MLB: 9-29

Here is a weekly look at how former Kansas Jayhawks baseball players fared over the week. One pitcher, Sam Freeman will be pitching in the playoffs which begin today.

 

Tom Gorzelanny: Pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers, he was shut down for the season after feeling lingering soreness in his shoulder. The pitcher finished with a 3-6 record overall, and an ERA of 3.90.

Sam Freeman: Freeman last pitched for the St. Louis Cardinals yesterday, lasting almost two innings. The pitcher was part of a 6-2 Cardinals victory over the Chicago Cubs. He struck out one batter and walked one. Freeman on the season has pitched 12.1 innings and has an ERA of 2.19.

Mike Zagurski: Zagurski is a free agent after struggling in one appearance for the New York Yankees on Sept. 15th. The pitcher on the season had an ERA of 17.05 in appearances for the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Yankees.
