Kansas Football: Three Ways to Beat Louisiana Tech

On Saturday, the Kansas Jayhawks and Louisiana Tech Mustangs will square off at 11:00 a.m. central time. The Jayhawks are 1-1 on the season, while the Mustangs enter with a 1-2 record. Here are three ways to beat the Mustangs:

1. Run the ball and run some more. James Sims should be able to run the ball whenever he wants too vs the Mustangs defense. If he can enjoy good success then the Jayhawks should be looking good in this game. Keeping the Mustangs offense off the field is a key.

2. Stop the Mustangs run: So far this season, the team has failed to have a good passing attack like previous seasons, if the Jayhawks can slow down the Mustangs run, they should be sitting good. Freshman back Tevin King leads the Mustangs in rushing with 289 yards.

3. Win the turnover battle: If quarterback Jake Heaps and the Jayhawks are to win this game, they need to win the turnover battle. Kansas nees to pressure Mustangs quarterback Ryan Higgins into making bad decisions and forcing turnovers from the young player.
