Tomorrow evening the Kansas Jayhawks will square off vs Rice at 6:30 p.m. central time. The game will be televised by CBS Sports Network.

Rice is 0-1 on the year with a loss to Texas A&M in the season opener 52-31. Kansas defeated South Dakota last weekend, 31-17. Here are three ways to defeat Rice.

1. Use your mobile quarterback to your advantage: Jake Heaps has the ability to run the football, though he is not in the same class as Johnny Manziel at Texas A&M, he can run the ball. Use this to your advantage, let him make plays happen.

2. Shut down Taylor McHargue: McHargue is the glue that makes this offense tic. Slowing him down will do wonders for the Jayhawks to steal a win in Houston. If the Jayhawks defense can keep pressure on the quarterback they could have a shot.

3. Rush James Sims 20+ times: Sims is the Jayhawks offensive leader. If he is able to rush the ball over 20 times then Kansas has a decent shot at winning the game, as this would do wonders to keep the ball out of McHargue’s hands.
