The Kansas Lady Jayhawks soccer team fresh off a 3-0 thumping of Pacific, will face Missouri State and Purdue this weekend.
The team travels to Springfield, Missouri today in a meeting with Missouri State, and then comes back home to face Purdue on Sunday. Tonight’s game kicks off at 6:00 p.m. central time, while Sunday’s begins at 1:00 p.m. central time. Kansas holds a 9-1 series advantage vs Missouri State and a 2-1 advantage against Purdue.
Missouri State is 0-2 on the season after losing to Oral Roberts and Tulsa in games that went extra time. The team has been outshot by 12 shots over the weekend, as they look to get back on track this season.
Purdue is 1-1 after beating Akron on Friday, and losing to Xavier on Sunday. The team is averaging four goals per game, and 29 shots. Purdue lost to Xavier, 4-3 and beat Akron 5-0. The team is led by Maddy Williams and Molly Kuramoto, who both scored two goals over the weekend.
Kansas hopes to continue their trail of success vs these two teams over the weekend. It all begins with getting good shots vs Missouri State and slowing down the high powered Boilermaker offense on Sunday.
