Kansas Football: Previewing the Special Teams

Here is a preview of the final unit of the Jayhawks roster, their special teams.

Ron Doherty: Named to the Ray Guy award watch-list and college football performance watch-list. As a junior, Doherty averaged 40.9 yards per punt as he played in 11 games. Hit 5-10 field goals as well.

Trevor Pardula: Another guy who can play both positions, punter and kicker. Pardula, arrives as a juco transfer. He averaged 40.9 yards per punt at De Anza College last season. Hit 13-22 field goals for the team, with his longest being 42 yards.

Eric Kahn: Backup kicker, sat out last season due to transfer rules.

Matthew Wyman: Freshman kicker, played five games last season at high school due to injury.

Austin Barone: Freshman kicker sat out last season after being red-shirted. Another in-state kicker had good success at high school.

Reilly Jeffers: Long snapper. Played the first three games at the position for Kansas last season.

Zackary Young: Senior didn’t play any last season as the long-snapper.
