McLemore Scores 27 in Kings Win, Withey Totals Six Rebounds for Pelicans

Former Kansas Jayhawks guard Ben McLemore had his most impressive game to date in summer league play on Friday night. The guard scored 27 points on 10-21 shooting from the field, and connected on 2-8 attempts from behind the 3-point line.

Sacramento defeated Atlanta, 93-87 for their first win  to stay alive in the Summer League tournament. Atlanta fell to 1-4 overall.

Jeff Withey in a New Orleans 78-77 loss to Washington, scored four points. The center added six rebounds, and two blocked shots in 20 minutes of action for the Pelicans.

Former Jayhawks guard Travis Releford also saw some action on Friday night for the Denver Nuggets. The guard scored two points to go with three rebounds, and two assists in 16 minutes of play in a 91-84 win for Memphis over the Nuggets.

Elijah Johnson also played for the LA Clippers on Friday. The guard 17 minutes of action and scored eight points. He was 3-13 from the field, including 2-11 on 3-point attempts. The Clippers fell to New York, 91-80.  Johnson and Releford both are fighting for roster spots with their respective teams.

Thomas Robinson is yet to play tonight for the Portland Trailblazers as they are part of the consolation side in the tournament vs Minnesota. Robinson in a 92-84 loss to Phoenix on Thursday, scored 14 points and pulled down 11 rebounds. Robinson has gone for a double-double in the last three games for Portland.
