AP Top 25: Kansas Falls 3 Spots to 7

In this week’s top 25, the Kansas Jayhawks fell three spots after losing to Baylor on Saturday. The Jayhawks are ranked seventh heading into this week’s Big 12 tournament.
Gonzaga remains number one for the second straight week, while Duke moved up one spot to number two. Indiana, Louisville, Georgetown round out the top five. Michigan moved up one spot to six, while Michigan State is eight. Miami and Ohio State round out the top 10.

Kansas State fell two spots to 11, right after the Wildcats is Marquette from the Big East who moved up three spots. Florida, Oklahoma State and New Mexico are numbers 13-15. Saint Louis stayed put at 16, despite losing to Xavier, while Pittsburgh climbed three spots to 17. Arizona stayed put at 18, and Syracuse and Memphis finish the top 20.

New to the poll is Creighton who won the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament over Wichita State on Sunday at 23. UCLA, and Wisconsin sit right in front of the Blue Jays. Finishing the top 25 is Notre Dame and VCU at 25.

This week, we have conference tournaments with the big-name conferences crowning champions on Saturday and Sunday. The Pac-12, Big East, MWC and Big 12 championships are slated for Saturday. The ACC, and Big 10 champions get crowned on Sunday. Right now, the top-ranked Zags are running away from St. Mary’s in the WCC conference tournament.
