In this week’s NCAA AP college basketball poll, the Kansas Jayhawks on the strength of defeating Iowa State and West Virginia, have entered the top five once again.
Gonzaga takes over the top spot thanks to Indiana losing to Minnesota. Indiana fell to number two, while Duke stayed put at number three. Following Kansas in the poll, is Georgetown, who continues to win in the Big East.
Miami, Michigan, Louisville, Kansas State and Michigan State round out the top 10. Marquette is a big riser, moving up to number 15. Sitting in front of the Golden Eagles, is Florida at 11, followed by New Mexico, Oklahoma State and Ohio State.
Saint Louis rises to number 16, followed by Syracuse, and Arizona who both fell in the poll. Oregon and Pittsburgh round out the top 20. VCU enters the poll once again at number 21 after dismantling Butler on Saturday. UCLA, also enters the poll at 23 after beating Arizona. Wisconsin fell to 22 after losing to Purdue on Sunday, Notre Dame and Memphis round out the top 25.
Big games next week include:
Indiana hosting Ohio State on Tuesday in a huge Big 1o game. Wednesday has Xavier hosting Saint Louis as they look to defeat another top team in the A-10. On Thursday, Michigan State hosts Wisconsin, while Colorado looks for the season sweep of the Oregon Ducks in Boulder. On Saturday, a trio of big games are showcased, with Georgetown hosting Syracuse, Louisville welcoming Notre Dame for a conference game, and Oklahoma State and Kansas State battling it out. In other action, Kentucky hosts Florida, and Arizona State faces Arizona.
