On Saturday, the fifth-ranked Kansas Jayhawks will aim to halt their two-game losing slide as they face Oklahoma in a game televised on ESPN at 3:00 p.m. central time. The Jayhawks enter the game with a 19-3 record overall, and a 7-2 Big 12 conference mark. Oklahoma has a 14-7 record overall, and are 5-4 in conference after dropping their last two in-conference games to Kansas State and Iowa State. Kansas earlier beat Oklahoma 67-54 on Jan. 26th.
Oklahoma is led by Romero Osby who is averaging 14 points per game. Osby doubles as the team’s leading rebounder, averaging about seven per game. Scott Pledger contributes averaging about 11 points per game. The Sooners after a great start in conference are finding some struggles after winning their first three conference games. The Sooners are having problems finding someone to score. After Osby and Pledger, the Sooners don’t have a reliable scorer.
Kansas had some major issues on Wednesday night in their loss to TCU, as the team totaled just 13 first half points. The second half saw some bright spots, but the team was out-worked by the TCU Horned Frogs, who got their first win in conference. The Jayhawks will look to get back on track vs the Sooners who are looking for some big wins in order to stay
in the NCAA tournament hunt.
