Kansas Basketball: TCU Game Preview

On Wednesday evening, the TCU Horned Frogs will host the fifth-ranked Kansas Jayhawks in Corpus Christi. TCU is 9-12 overall and 0-8 in Big 12 conference play. Kansas has a 19-2 record, and are 7-1 in conference after losing Saturday vs Oklahoma State. The game is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. central time and will be televised on ESPNU.

TCU is led by sophomore guard Kyan Anderson who is scoring 11 points per game. The guard averages three assists to go along with the points. Fellow guard Garlon Anderson contributes with 10 points per contest and four rebounds. In the middle, senior forward Adrick McKinney is the team’s top rebounder, averaging about seven per game. McKinney adds eight points.

TCU began Big 12 play with a loss to Texas Tech on Jan. 5th, 62-53. Things haven’t gotten any better for the Horned Frogs as they lost badly to Texas on Saturday, 60-43 in a game they stood no chance in. The win for the Longhorns was just their second on the year in conference.

Kansas will look to get back on the winning track after winning 18 straight before Saturday. The Jayhawks will look to cut down on their turnover total of 16 from Saturday. They also committed 16 turnovers in a win over West Virginia last Monday.
