The Kansas Jayhawks thanks to Duke losing last Wednesday to Miami, climbed a spot from number three to two in the new rankings this week. Michigan took over the top spot in AP poll for the first time since 1992. In the new USA Today poll, Kansas took over the top spot, while Michigan sits at number two.
Duke fell to number five in the AP poll, while Indiana and Florida moved up four spots to three and four. Syracuse dropped three spots to six, Gonzaga moved up two spots to seven, while Arizona, Butler and Oregon round out the top 10. Ohio State, Louisville, Michigan State are the next three in the poll, before Miami who jumped up 11 spots to 14. Wichita State then sits at 15. Ole Miss and Missouri both jumped spots coming up next in the poll, to 16 and 17. Kansas State, North Carolina State, and New Mexico round out the top 20.
San Diego State and Marquette are new to the poll at 22 and 25. Creighton fell four spots to 21, while Minnesota and Cincinnati finish up the poll at 23 and 24.
Big games this week include Ole Miss and Florida squaring off on Saturday in a key SEC tilt. Miami takes on NC State also on Saturday. The game of the week though comes out of the Big 10, with Michigan traveling to face Indiana on Saturday.
