Kansas Women's Basketball: Oklahoma State Game Preview

Tomorrow at 8:00 p.m. central time, the Kansas Lady Jayhawks are hosting Oklahoma State Cowgirls in Lawrence. Kansas is 12-5 and 3-3 in Big 12 action on the year, while the 12th-ranked Oklahoma State team enters the game at 14-3 overall, and 3-3 in conference. Earlier this season, Oklahoma State defeated Kansas, 76-59 in Stillwater on Jan. 8th.

Both teams are tied for fifth in the Big 12 standings, so this game carries extra importance. Kansas is coming off a confidence lifting 76-38 whipping of Texas on Wednesday. Oklahoma State fell to Kansas State on Wednesday, 76-70. The Cowgirls will be looking to get back on track vs the Lady Jayhawks here. Oklahoma State has won the last three meetings between the two teams in Lawrence.

The Cowgirls are led by Toni Young, who is averaging 17 points per game. Liz Donahoe, contributes with 16 points, and Tiffany Bias adds 12 per game. Young, also leads the team in rebounds, averaging nearly 10 per game.

Kansas got seniors Carolyn Young and Angel Goodrich going again vs Texas, a game that was much needed as the Jayhawks had lost three straight. This game is a perfect chance for Kansas to show once again, they are a team to reckon with in the conference.
