The Kansas Lady Jayhawks travel to Morgantown tomorrow to face West Virginia in their second game of the Big 12 conference schedule. West Virginia is 8-4 on the year, while Kansas enters the game with a 10-2 record on the year. Kansas aims to have a 2-0 record for the first time since 1998-99 in conference play.
West Virginia is led by guard Taylor Palmer who is averaging 12 points per game. Christal Caldwell contributes with 11 points, while the only other double-figure scorer is Ayanna Dunning. The forward is averaging 11 points, and seven boards per game.
West Virginia’s losses on the season came to Oklahoma on Jan. 2nd, Duquesne, LSU and Iowa. Kansas has one of the nation’s best inside-outside duos in Angel Goodrich and Carolyn Davis. Both seniors are averaging 30 points per game combined. Goodrich, is one of the nation’s top guards. She is averaging seven assists per game, tops in the nation. Davis, will be looking for 1,500 points on the year. All she needs is one point tomorrow to reach this goal, and become the 11th Lady Jayhawk in school history for 1,500 points.
