Big 12 Basketball Power Rankings: 12-23

Here is the weekly power rankings for Big 12 conference from Through the Phog.

1. Kansas: The ninth-ranked Jayhawks defeated Ohio State yesterday on the road, improving their record to 10-1 on the season. Kansas is now off till next Saturday.

2. Oklahoma State: Oklahoma State is 10-1 on the season after beating Tennessee Tech yesterday. The Cowboys next face Gonzaga on Monday, Dec. 31st in a battle of ranked teams.

3. Kansas State: The Wildcats had a huge win yesterday over eighth-ranked Florida in Manhattan. Guard Will Spradling led the way with 17 points.

4. Iowa State: The Cyclones have amassed a 9-3 mark on the season after a win over University-Missouri at Kansas City last Wednesday. Next up is a game with Yale on New Years Day.

5. Baylor: A big win for Baylor came on Friday vs BYU, 79-64. Next up for Baylor is a game with Gonzaga on Dec. 28th. Baylor is 8-3 on the season.

6. Texas: The Longhorns had a week of ups and downs after defeating North Carolina on Wednesday, Texas lost to 20th-ranked Michigan State yesterday. Texas is 7-5 on the year, and will face Rice on Dec. 29th.

7. Oklahoma: Oklahoma fell to Stephen F. Austin on Tuesday, 56-55 moving their record to 8-3 on the season. Next is a game with Ohio from the MAC, on Saturday.

8. TCU: The Horned Frogs are 8-4 on the season. This week, TCU defeated Rice, 65-63 on Saturday. Next up for the Horned Frogs is a game with Mississippi Valley State.

9. West Virginia: West Virginia stands at 6-5 overall after defeating Radford on Saturday. Next up for the Mountaineers is a game with Eastern Kentucky on Sunday.

10. Texas Tech: The Red Raiders have slipped to 10th in the power rankings after falling to Arizona State on Saturday. With the loss, Texas Tech now has a 5-4 record overall, with North Carolina A&T coming up next Friday.
