After two made free-throws from Talia Caldwell, California vaulted to a 25-19 lead midway through the first half. Kansas managed to fight back, cutting the margin to one point. The home-team once again grabbed full control in pushing the lead to seven points at half-time in going on a 10-4 run.

Kansas managed to trim the lead to two points, on a couple different occasions in the second half, but got no further. Cal managed to keep this from happening.

Next up for Kansas is the start of Big 12 play and inter-state rival Kansas State on Jan. 2nd.
