The Kansas Jayhawks and Richmond Spiders square off tomorrow in a nationally televised game on ESPN 2 at 6:00 p.m. The ninth-ranked Jayhawks enter the game at 8-1 on the season, and Richmond stands at 9-2 after beating Stetson, 72-57 on Saturday.
Richmond is led by a solid inside-outside duo of Darien Brothers and Derrick Williams. Each player averages around 15 points per contest. Brothers is a standout behind the three-point line, connecting on 52% of his attempts. Williams, leads the Spiders in rebounding at just over seven per game. The forward is making 60% of his field goal attempts. The teams leading assist man is guard Cedrick Lindsay. The junior averages just over four assists per game, along with about 11 points. Coming off the bench is stand-out guard Kendall Anthony, who scores 14 points per game.
Richmond has the potential to give Kansas a difficult game on Tuesday. Their only losses on the season have come to Minnesota, and Ohio, two teams who strive for the NCAA tournament. The Spiders have won five straight since losing to Ohio on Nov. 24th.
This game will be a tune-up for Kansas as they face seventh-ranked Ohio State on Saturday.
