Big 12 Football Recap: Week 14

Last weekend, Kansas State clinched the Big 12 title with a victory over Texas, 42-24. The Wildcats moved onto face Oregon in the Fiesta Bowl. Texas with the loss, still moved on to face Oregon State in the Alamo Bowl. Here is a run-down of all the other action in Big 12 land on Saturday.

The Oklahoma Sooners took care of business in defeating TCU. The Sooners improved to 10-2 on the year, after dispatching the Horned Frogs who finish the regular season at 7-5. Oklahoma will take on Texas A&M in the Cotton Bowl, while TCU faces Michigan State in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl.

Baylor continued their run of wins at the end of the season, with another. The Bears defeated Oklahoma State, 41-34 pushing their record to 7-5 overall. Oklahoma State with the defeat, also finished the year at 7-5. Baylor will take on UCLA in the Holiday Bowl. Quarterback Nick Florence and the Bears offense are in store for a great battle vs the Bruins defense. Oklahoma State also clinched a bowl game spot, facing Purdue in the Heart of Dallas Bowl.

West Virginia dominated Kansas, 59-10 to finish their regular season at 7-5. Kansas fell to 1-11 with the loss. The Mountaineers take on Syracuse in the Pinstripe Bowl game.

Iowa State and Texas Tech, both didn’t play but are still in bowl games. The Cylcones face Tulsa in the Liberty Bowl. The Golden Hurricane enter the game at 10-3, while Iowa State is 6-6. Texas Tech takes on Minnesota in the Car Care Bowl of Texas. The Golden Gophers are 6-6, while Texas Tech is 7-5.
