Big 12 Football Recap: Week 13

After each weekend of Big 12 play we’ll look at how things turned out for the Big 12 conference. This week, Rankings are from BCS poll. 18th-ranked Texas fell in a Thanksgiving showdown at home to TCU. 11th-ranked Oklahoma took care of business in defeating Oklahoma State. West Virginia became bowl elgible after defeating Iowa State, and Baylor did the same as they beat Texas Tech.

The Horned Frogs improved to 7-4 on the year after beating Texas, 20-13. The Longhorns fell to 8-3 on the year, after the loss. Texas turned the ball over four times in the loss.

West Virginia defeated Iowa State, 31-24 ending their five-game losing streak. The Cyclones became bowl eligible after gaining their sixth win a week prior vs Kansas.

Baylor defeated Texas Tech, 52-45 in overtime to get their sixth-win of the year. The Bears quarterback Nick Florence once again had a huge game, in tossing three touchdowns in the win. The Red Raiders fell to 7-5 on the year.

Oklahoma defeated Oklahoma State in another high scoring affair, 51-48 in overtime. The Sooners continue to be in the BCS hunt with the win, knocking the Cowboys back a little. Oklahoma is 9-2 on the year, while Oklahoma State fell to 7-4.
