Kansas Women's Basketball: Creighton Preview

Tomorrow, the Kansas Lady Jayhawks will hit the road for the first time this season as they face the Creighton Blue Jays. The game is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. central time. Creighton is 2-1 on the season, while Kansas enters the game, 4-0 and 22nd-ranked in the nation.

Creighton after losing their opener to nationally-ranked Oklahoma has rallied off two straight wins over South Dakota State and South Dakota. The game vs Oklahoma was at home, while the last two have been on the road.  The team is led by forward Sarah Nelson who is averaging 13 points per game. Nelson, is deadly from behind the three-point line, connecting on 4-11 attempts on the season so far. Allysa Kamphaus, is the teams top rebounder averaging nearly five boards per contest.

Kansas counters with a senior laden squad led by forward Carolyn Davis. Angel Goodrich is one of the nation’s top point guards, making this team go.

Expect a great game tomorrow between these two solid teams. Kansas has the upper hand on paper, though anything is possible.
