Football Roundtable: Can Kansas Beat Iowa State?

The Kansas Jayhawks will host the Iowa State Cyclones this week.

The Cyclones are currently 5-5 on the season and 2-5 in the Big 12.

On offense, they are currently averaging 214 passing yards per game, 137 rushing yards per game, and 22.7 points per game. On defense, they are giving up an average of 22 points per game.

Do the Jayhawks have a chance of defeating the Iowa State Cyclones?

George: Two more chances for Coach Weis to get that conference win, and Saturday’s vs Iowa State is the easier of the two match-ups. I like their chances of defeating Iowa State if they keep running the ball at such a high rate. Keep pushing the top two backs.

Ricky: I would compare this game to the Baylor game for Kansas. It is quite possible for the Jayhawks to get their first conference win, but I don’t think they will. Kansas has been a “meh” team this season. So much potential, but so much disappointment.
